Awesome pics Whit! The spring time migration is truely a sight to see. Not only do the spring migrations give you the opportunity to see some species you won’t see in the fall, it also allows you to watch birds in perfect plumage conduct their mating behaviors. Watching birds is a great way to fill your spring time nulls and a great opportunity to show the young ones some awesome wildlife. The spring migration will amp you up for the fall and provide a great opportunity to introduce the kids to an interactive way to become involved in the outdoors!

Awesome!! I was just in SD last weekend and the birds were everywhere. Canvas backs, Pintails, stuff I’ve never seen before… Wish I had a good camera, it would have been fun.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Thanks!

Camera isn’t anything special… Its a Canon Rebel (XTi I think). The lens isn’t anything special, either, although, it is telephoto/zoom…. 300mm.

Photoshop helps to “clean them up” a little bit, too.
