We have a F4 tornado running along time across alot of counties down here. They say it is 1 mile wide. They said it is like a Oklahoma tornado. Reports of alot of towns hit by it. We was just north of the line where the tornado is running

…..with one of the coolest hunts of the year. 8″ of fresh snow and ice everywhere…..and we couldn’t beat the greenheads out with a stick. Wish we woulda had a bunch of guys, because it would have been a serious pile!

As it is, a great way to end one of our best seasons ever. 19 different species if you include a few “others”

Not a suzie….Black duck! The only reason there are divers in there are because we got sick of searching through flock after flock of mallards looking for “other” puddle ducks. Saw two other blacks, but couldn’t crack a shot at them. Those are the only 3 divers we shot all year, 2 hen cans and a golden eye!

    Merganser’s taste a lot like owl….or muskie!

Way to take out the end of the season, Jake. I tried to get back down, but everyone was sick of ice… Great job!!!

DodgeBoy put the hurt on the geese up here in the ice last weekend, getting his two on Sat. and taking a couple of other guys with him on Sunday to shoot their 6 in 45 minutes. And I had a great time putting up the new quansit hut for the boat, whoohoo!!!

best recipe ive heard for mergs and geese is this:

put the breasts into a crock pot and cover them with coke. let them cook on low for 6-8 hours til they start to break up, then empty crock pot into the garbage disposal, crack beer and order dominos.
