Just got back from the Garrison area. Was out there Thurs – Sun. Thursday and Friday with temps approaching 80, we found some birds but not the movement we were hoping for.
Saturday we hit the roosters hard and had some great pheasant action.
1st pic is of a lucky puddle jump I made while out scouting and rooster hunting. Got these three in two shots. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.
2nd pic is Sunday am. Man the ducks were piling into our field dekes. Was fun just watching them set their wings and lose air fast. 17 ducks, plus the one we sailed and a hawk made off with. Two cacklers and two Ross’s geese!
There were ducks and geese all over this pea field.
