Any early reports from ND? Heading out there a week from Wednesday. I know from being out there this summer that there is a ton of water, but are they too spread out?

Heading to the Garrison area for waterfowl in the morning and rudies in the afternoon!!

    Can’t wait!

My brother and the guys have been out since opener. He said it doesn’t seem there are as many birds as years past, but still tons of birds around. Limits of greenheads every day and lots of canadas mixed in. In the general area as where your going.

Cougareye — got word yesterday birds are starting to filter down more, not huge masses yet but starting to in the Kenmare area. Good numbers of Mallards and Honkers are being seen and they are expecting it just get better once that first real cold snap hits Canada, should be about perfect timing for your trip!

Lots and lots of honkers in the Devil’s Lake Area. I would not say there is a mass quanity of ducks around yet but still killable numbers.

    Good luck

was out there from last wed untill yesterday. we had to look HARD for the birds we shot. we killed limits all 5 mornings but put on almost 200 miles a day trying to find them. shot 2 mallards the whole trip??? never found a spot with any. i have murdered them out there in years past. mostly gads widgeon and alot of pintails. had a good diver hunt as well. cudos to those who are getting mallards… i dont know what my problem was…
