I mounted my Yamaha t8 on my 12 foot v front duck boat today. I will test it tommorow to make sure it is not to heavy. I want to make a blind for it as I usually just pull it into the cattails. I already have the fast grass mats. Anyone have a good way to rig these mats up?

Something quick and easy is a seperate blind that way you can put it where its needed. I will post pics if I get out this weekend but, basically its just 2 7ft metal tubing with one end shaved at an angle(pushes into the mud easier) a couple of 90degree slide on brackets and a 3rd tube cut to length of the mat. I have a peice in the middle so that I can break it apart for easier transport(2mats). Then simply weave the middle pole between some of the mat and ziptie it in place so that it doesn’t move. A couple of removable clips on the sides help keep the wind from blowing it around. Oh and I almost forgot a can of drab spraypaint to make it blend better.

    Hope this helps

I bent conduit (3 rods) to fit inside my 16 ft jonboat. Currently covered in only camo burlap, grass to follow in a couple weeks. Mounted on a pivot point front and rear. Take about 2 minutes to set up. I will try to get some pictures posted.
