I can see I’m going to need to get a 500 mm lens. I bought a Canon rebel XTI, But it’s just got the 28-55mm lens. Ken.When you gonna give lessons?

You were quick to get a shot of that warbler

actually I was quicker to get the Banking Buffleheads.. those little guys are pretty quick on the wing.. and its hard finding them in the viewfinder and getting a focus on them as they go screaming by.. the warbler actually sat still for about 3 seconds.. he must have got tired…
and yeah… those are trumpeter swans.. they are quite a few of them around here.. I suppose I will call that shot.. “swan lake”.. they look like they are getting ready for a ballet…

Hang onto your wallet if your looking at f4 500’s. They usually go for a couple Yammie T8’s. Sweet lens you’ve got there Ken.

    As usual, great shots!

Here’s a couple I took in Wyoming last year that I kinda like. Used a Sony Digital HandyCam. Nothing special, but it does the job.

Minnesota’s 2010 Waterfowl Hunting Regulations handbook will be available beginning Friday, Aug. 20, wherever hunting and fishing licenses are sold, online and in many Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) offices across the state.

For details, refer to the DNR news released located at the following website address:

I noticed there is no “late” Canada goose season this year. Looks like the regular season runs up to Christmas day.
