A wide angle lens in manual focus does blur out the backgrounds pretty good, doesn’t it?

Funny thing is I keep getting all these PM’s from people that claim to know “right where we were fishing” at the end of the show.

Not a one of them has been right, yet.

I scouted a bigger than average lake in west central MN today. I definitely liked what I found. I usually don’t hit the bigger lakes this early but most of the 20 acre or smaller sloughs in my area were frozen this morning pushing the ducks to bigger water. I drove all the way around the lake marking on my gps where they were sitting and some other spots for different winds. I hope tomorrow will be a good day. I saw lots of mallards, ringbills and buffleheads along with a few woodies. All in all I kicked up about 800 ducks during my travels today.

Awesome. I should be in the Donelly area this weekend and get a good report out.

It didn’t work out like I wanted it too. Large lakes plus no wind equals ducks sitting in the middle of the lake. . I’m going to hit up another big lake on friday.
