Drove up to deer camp (Rice Lake area) to give the beaver pond a shot. Managed to take 3 Wood ducks each day. It was fun getting out and cleaning the dust out of the barrel. Had fun watching the otter chasing each other around. I saw a good amount of local Geese but few ducks. This area has been very dry this summer. Not sure you’ll be able to see the otters very well but it was pretty cool.

Nothing better than a Woody Drake. I’ll be at the Gophers and Badgers instead of MN opener. Need to get out and shoot some ducks this year.

FYI – male ducks are drakes… and especially wood ducks.
the only “male woody” you shoot is the one you find in bed with your wife/gf…
