I normaly don’t post much about the snow geese that fly over this area but this time there was an amazing amount. First flock was around 500, second 1,500, third another 1,500, fourth was 500 and after that they flew over for a solid 3 to 4 minutes, way into the thousands of birds. I’ve never seen this many geese in this area like today, it was pretty amazing. The cloud cover was lowering and the geese were coming down through the clouds, pretty cool, thousands of geese. I think these were all seperate flocks because they were flying west and only a couple minutes apart and they all came from the same direction, I know they didn’t have time to circle and flock up with the others. Pretty amazing. Easy 10 too 12,000 geese.

One of the most remarkable things to see in the wild. Thanks for sharing!

It is really amazing the shear numbers of snow geese and how many are in flocks.

I slept out on the porch last night, getting tired of being inside all winter because of the cold and heard more flocks going over. Im working outside on my place remodeling it today and will listen for more. Its cool to see so many geese migrating instead of just the smaller flocks of local geese.
