Tiger I fish that area a TON. The south end of Chisago cant be beat for early ice. The Crappie action picks up after dark and if your not hiting them with a minnow switch it up to a red jig with 3 euro’s. All my crappies came on this set up. Toss the ice bobber in your shack and use a spring bobber.

Pm me if you want to meet up out there sometime. I think i got around 20 some crappies (Kept 5) and too many sunnies to count (Kept 0 I hate cleaning those).

Hunted Big Marsh Fri morning and saw maybe 10 ducks within 400yds today… Even the reserve didn’t seem to have many ducks on it… Very very dissapointing, heard only about 20 shots otherwise, and had to listen to some idiot blow on his call ALLLLL morning, no joke, from shooting hours till we left at around 8:45…. Only time i heard him stop was to let his call thaw probably, then when he got back on it, you could just picture some guys face turning beet red squeezing it out

Will be hunting Sweets Marsh tomorrow AM, see if any new ducks decided to drop by.

I thinks with this n.w wind your chances of having new ducks come in is pretty darn good, saw a very nice flock of canada geese on the way home from work around 7:00am ,well just thought I would let ya know///

I didnt see much this weekend, I was off the wapsi in clinton county, just not very much moving, my buddy and I got busted by 3 birds yesterday morning, they came in like ninjas and were on us before we could say duck, none the less, no shots were fired. I want to go out tomorrow, but I dont know about the wind ESE does not sound ducky to me, then again, what do I know!!!!

I personally would be hunting the smaller rivers right now especially with all the smaller bodies of water freezing over.
