Just wondering if this area of the river is open to waterfowl hunting? I have been on the DNR site and County sites and haven’t seen anything either way. If it is open to waterfowl hunting, can a guy hunt from shore (I don’t have a boat) and wade out to throw out dekes?

Hi Wade…I used to hunt up there till about 3-4 years ago. You CAN NOT hunt off the south shore as it is Dakota County park. Now if you were able to wade out to the Islands on the north end you can hunt. But that is not an option as there is a channel in there. Good place to hunt though if you can find a place. Usually pretty busy unless you go in the afternoon for No. flight. Sorry.

thanks for the information Chappy, I need to find someplace somewhat close to home this year as opposed to running across the state.
