We’ll i buckled and bought a box of 3 1/2 inch black cloud for this weekend. My buddies love it. will have to wait and see. I usually stick with 3 1/2 inch Kent BB. I shoot it well and so does my Benelli. Just curious as to what everyone is shooting. Its nice, the birds should be fairly stupid, but the key this time of year is location, location, and location. Scouting is important ive been seeing fields with serious segregation between family groups. Something to remember tomm when setting up dekes. Good luck to all. Stay safe and have fun.

3 1/2 1’s and BBB. All 1550. You will not believe how 1’s crush geese over decoys!

I normally shoot 3.5″ BBs for honkers and 3.5″ 3s for ducks normally it is Kent or Winchester loads but I have run some Federals and Fiocci loads through my Beretta.

I have heard some good things about black cloud but it still comes down to hitting what you shoot at.

3″ #3 for small ones and 3.5″ BBB (1550 Federals) for the large ones – all out of a SBE II.
Packing for Canada now to head up for a week on the 19th of September. …Got the dog tuned up too! I can’t wait to pound some out

first couple weeks – 3″ number 3’s. rest of the season – 3″ or 3.5″ BB’s. shoot an Xtrema with a terror .675 choke.

hopefully you don’t barrel bulge problems like some have with black cloud… the general consensus is, if you use an aftermarket choke, you better check around to make sure you can use black cloud with it.

Improved Cylinder with Kent all year

    Ducks #4 shot—all year

Geese #2 shot and sometimes BB

Never anything bigger more pellets and high Vel. shot = great kills.

3 and 3.5 2’s. 3’s for duck and 3.5’s for geese. All winchester extremes. I pattern every year and these just work for my gun. (Nova, 26 inch barrel with a mod choke.)

2.75 and 3 inch deuces for Ducks
3.5 inch BB and BBB for Honkers
    3 inch BB for Snows

    All Remington

I should convert to chriss recommended loads since he did all the work of patterning my identical Nova, however.

Why take my word. Shooting multiple loads even when you know what works is half the fun.
