Looking for someone who would like to team up and do some waterfowling this year.
I have a boat and decoys, but very limited on calling experience. I also do not have a dog, but have never needed one in years past.
Just throwing this out there to see if there is any interest

AmWatson, good use of this resource
Where are you located or interested in focusing your attention?
As you well know, this site is loaded with solid waterfowling folks
Are you a dabbler or diver guy, or just looking to get out?
    Good luck
    cheers

    Wats:

Always been interested in hooking up with as I have spent a reasonable amount of time in the Tremp. area. Got decoys, maybe a Dodge Boy and a fair dog.

Is Dodge Boy still alive ? If so, he is more than welcome to ride along

I am interested in hunting more also around the Blaine area. Got my dog back after 3 months now and ready to go. I have decoys, but no boat so I normally wade out and drop the decoys and hunt swamps and slews in Carlos avery. anyone interested pm me. I unfortuantely have no access to private land.

Mike, where are you at? where do you typically hunt? I live in the se metro by Hastings.

Broncs — I am interested, no dog or boat, but usually find WMA’s and wade out and drop decoys and sleep until they come in…lol…

I am in the laCrosse area and surrounded by hunting areas. Some of it gets crowded, but trapping last year took me into some great places that I rarely ever seen people. The sheep mentality around here keeps people going to the easy to get to places
Basically, I hunt the Mississippi River system, but I have found few places that you can walk to

that’s not too terrible of a drive for some good hunting opportunities, do you hunt the Wisconsin or Minnesota side, I would just need to make sure I have the right license….shoot me a pm sometime or email [email protected]

    Mike,
Do you have an interest in some diver hunts?
I just found out that I will be doing a presentation at a training session in Rushford on October 23rd. I’m thinking about pulling my big water rig down there and trying to hit the river.
I know this is early for the screaming ducks, but I have everything that we could need for the dabblers as well, and we could scout some diver options for late season!
    Let me know…
    cheers

You better be careful AM….diver hunting is horribly addictive.

It is just really sad to see the decline of the Bluebill population…I sure hope they make a come back.

im really dissipointed in the closure of the can season this year. whats the point of diver hunting this year? all the work for some ringnecks and some buffleheads? and one bill. goldeneyes are great towards the end of the year, but its going to be pretty boring untill then. why the hell did they let us shoot 2 last year? if they were above their goal, then just let them keep going. im happy with one can a day for the whole year than the bs we have this year again

Yeah diver hunting with the limited bags/closed seasons ends up being a lot of work for only a couple birds even when there are good numbers of them around.

Anyone have a good method for breasting out ringbills?? I quit shooting them a few years ago because they are such a pain to get the skins off the breasts.

i see you can still shoot cans in north dakota this year… must hve been a state decision to close it and not a federal. so once again we raise them so the boys down south can kill em
