I am looking at upgrading my full body goose decoys. I am looking at the GHG FFD’s and was woundering if anyone has an opinion on the lessers vs the full size. I was thinking about going with the lessers to save a lot of money. Is this a good idea or should I put the money down and buy the full size? Maybe buy the lesser feeders and full size actives? What do you pros think? Im looking at purchasing 4 dozen or so and would save $450 if I go with the lessers. Up close the lesser decoys dont seem to be that much smaller!

    Thanks, Bill

Personally i would go about half and half. Thats what i was thinking about doing anyways. And another idea is to not get the ffd’s not only would it be alot cheaper. But i think it would be a waste becuase the flocking rubs off so easily. I have some of the pro grade ones with just flocked heads and they are already rubbing off. And i even got the six slot full body bags to protect them a little more. Just my two cents but otherwise they are a great decoys and one of the most realistic ones out there i believe.

Here’s a tip on the heads. Use a tube sock.

We get a bag of cheap tube sock. The cheaper the better. If you roll them up they unroll very easily and do a better job of protecting the flocking. (Don’t slide them off whenyou remove them. Roll the sock back off. I have Avery, GHG, and a few Big foot’s that were personaly flocked. Very few are having issues.
