There are barely birds in MO right now. Neb. is seeing a very little trickle, IA is empty, Ill has some birds. Is this the only time you could make it out? I’ve been on whitey since they opened the spring season and I’ve never went west this early. We usually are in MO right now but I’m still in MN and half of MO has snow and just about the whole state has ice. Temps are supposed to be in the mid 40’s plus next week, but we all know it takes more than that to melt ice. The fields will be clean of snow which may make them move north.

Advice: Stay home for about 2-3 weeks or go south.

We were way south (many hours south of Mound City) and we saw nothing but crystals, but I heard there were 400K 4 hours south of us yet. SD is a no go for a long time if I was guessing. Those smart birds stayed 75 yds out all three days, but killed a few dumb ones. High field was ove 40 in our groups.

some days you have to pull it on those 75 yarders, you would be surprised how many you can knock down with the right choke

I’m thinking a work trip to SD will be in order very soon. Probably another 2-3 weeks to the Huron and Aberdeen area. Funny how I come down with sudden ailments when I travel. I feel the need to don my camo and blast the sky carp to quickly recover.
