Tentative Waterfowl Opener Date

    The DNR released the MN tentative opener date of 10/4.

    Why are they looking to go back to the first Saturday of October?

    It’s always been the Saturday closest to Oct. 1st….and being the 1st is on a Wednesday, the closest Saturday would be the 4th.

    I thought the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service relaxed that tenant in 2003.

    What were the opener dates in 2003 and 2004?
