The slough i wanted to hunt was froze this morning, so i drifted the mighty mn river for a few miles and shot one hen mallard (which i normally don’t do, but really worked hard for it and wanted a thanksgiving day duck), and missed one drake. Beautiful morning to be enjoying the great wild outdoors.

yeah, we set up and got into a few, had a female woodie right away, and then we shot 2 drake ring necks this morning, off the water at 10 with 3 in the boat. the decoys started to freeze into the water and made for some cold hands picking them up out of the water. it was a beautiful day to be out on the water with the flakes falling down on the water. glad you got one today, not alot flying.
