Last Saturdays shoot…Gadwalls, Widgeon, Green Wings, Mallards, 1 Woodie, Ringbills, Bluebills, Redheads, shovlers and geese. It was so much fun to have ducks and geese actually work decoys and respond to calls rather than flare at 100 yards like what happens in Minnesota! RR

Wow great hunt. You just do not see that in MN.

Congrats! Looks like a great hunt! Not to steal your post but does SD still limit non-res hunters to something around 5k per year? If drawn, is it possible to free-lance or is it necessary to line up a lease or guide?

    Thanks,

    Eric

When I got drawn I went with the 3-day ($75) and not the 10-day ($125) as I could only hunt one weekend. We were on our own but did hunt a private slough. No need for a guide…RR
