November 21, 2007 at 1:40 pm #8097um………..in the EMAIL I recevied from MM not anything you posted. this day is going to go really slow. we are heading down a day early for a Friday hunt before meeting you guys.
November 21, 2007 at 1:49 pm #8101I have a feeling there might be more then a few fly aways from us. . what time are you thinking of heading down? call my cell when you are closer to being down there and we can figure things out.
November 26, 2007 at 3:31 pm #8409I would first off like to thank Jason and Mandy for having us at there house for another great feed and poker. Thanks to Big Mike for the pork roast and BBQ sauce. Thanks to Jeff and Tiffany for the enchilada’s. Lars for the pheasent and venison. John and Heidi for the BBQ goose.
It was a great night and nice to meet some new faces. And you too Chappy!Saturday was a really tough day. I was not able to be with the group because I had another to take that day. Trevor, Pat and Big Mike took the IDA group and they at least got some shooting and a few birds. There are a lot of birds around, they just will not cooperate.
The field I was in with Dillion, we sat all day and never fired our guns. Saw tons of birds, but nothing would come close. I talked with several other guide services and groups and they also stated the same results. Hopefully we will get the cold weather and snow soon to make these birds react better and get off the grass!!
Thanks again for everyone coming down and I can say I had a great time Friday with Jeff and Tiffany, she is a ball of fire Jeff. Friday night was a really good time also. Maybe next time we will smack them.
Thanks again,
Tim
November 26, 2007 at 4:08 pm #8419Just imagine when she is crabby. . I am working on getting the photos downloaded that I was able to take. Boy did the batteries take a beating in the cold weather at times. Tiffany was really happy about the hunt this weekend she had fun both days as she was not sure what to expect.
She did hit her first goose, a wing shot, but still a hit, then Buckshot, Heidi, mike and myself finished that bird off. not sure who got it, but it did not get away.
Oh yeah and Tim, She did have a weak (girly) moment Saturday, (have not seen her move that fast in a long time )but you will probably hear that from the other guys that were in the pits with us.

November 26, 2007 at 4:35 pm #8423The guys I had with me also enjoyed the hunt despite the lack of birds. I mean, what can you do if the birds aren’t cooperating? Sit back, BS, and make the most of it, I guess.
Thanks need to go to Chappy for keeping me on my toes all day.
Thanks again to Run-N-Gun Guide service for putting this all together.
And thanks to Jason and Mandi for the hospitality.

November 26, 2007 at 4:45 pm #8424yes forgot that part. Thanks Jason and Mandi for the hopitality and use of the oven. hope the dishes were clean to your liking.
also thinned out 2 breasts into 4 thin filets last night after cleaning the birds and sauteed with onions, mushrooms and garlic on a low heat. man that was moist and good at 10:30 at night.
November 27, 2007 at 4:59 pm #8494Thank you to Jason and Mandy for hosting again!!!
Thank you to Run-N-Gun for another fun hunt…lots of birds just not many takers.AS for Tiff’s girly moment…all I can say is you missed it Tim….it was comical!!!
We knock down this goose right at the end of legal shooting that appears to be deader than a door nail.
Well that wasn’t quite the case. Someone laid it on the ground by Jeff and Tiff’s pit, we were starting to pick up and I hear this screach. I turn around and see Tiff running and screaming away from the “dead” goose. Apparently it wasn’t as dead as it looked …it was head up and looking around. Not sure if it hissed at her or what but the way she screamed and took off you woulda thought the goose was holding a 12ga.I quickly dispatched the bird because Heidi and Jeff were too busy rolling on the ground laughing….not to mention Shoot’n Release is already taken for a screen name so I couldn’t let it get away.
November 27, 2007 at 5:19 pm #8498That would have definitely been something to see!! Rough and rowdy Tiffany tucking her tail and running from a goose!
She will not live this one down. I told Jeff that the goose must have looked her in the eye!
Fun was had by all.
December 3, 2007 at 7:14 pm #17589can someone shoot me a PM my work blocked my photo edit site so I can not make my pictures to fit. I have 10 I would like to post from the IDA hunt that we took when the camera decided it was to cold to work.
December 3, 2007 at 7:33 pm #17591Jeff,
The new photo upload system should automatically resize your pics for you. Have you tried it with your unedited pics yet?
Lars
December 3, 2007 at 8:01 pm #17593yes. I can not get it to recognize the photos as jpg’s. it will load my other pictures I have sized correctly though???
December 3, 2007 at 11:02 pm #17607Yup I have had that happen to me a few times as well, I just resized the pics a bit and then they posted fine. I will ask James about this to see if this is a bug or not.
