A couple days could make. With a strong Northwest wind at 15 to 20 mph gusting to 25-30 I was hoping tonight would be a little different for me.
Needless to say it was. Within 30 mins of tossing deeks and starting up Roboduck I had a nice flock of bills swing me 3 times. On the final swing I was able to pick out a nice pair of ring bill drakes! 
1st ducks of the year to decoy for me. After whining a little bit yestersday that was a nice boost for my ego! Had a bunch of woodies come agian. But not just close enough. With the end of shooting time getting really close (I think I had 15 mins left) I had a hen and a drake greenhead totally bust me as I was petting Rocky 
But being the quick draw Mcgraw (I never put my gun down to excited 
) I was able to drop the hen and make a nice recovery shot to finish the deal. I guessed at which one to shoot and guessed wrong . And of course I left my camera at home
Best night of the season so far! Hopefully this cold and snow up north will start pushing some northern birds down!!
