Spinning Wing – Help Needed

I need help identifying the manufacturer of this spinning wing decoy. I bought it several years ago and have no manuals on it. I can find no markings anywhere that give me an id of the decoy, model etc.

This is a battery operated decoy that has wings that screw into it, counter to each other. I had one spin off last year and before I realized it, had floated away downriver.

Attached are a couple of pics. Please help me id the manufacturer and if you know model # that would be great.

    Thanks,

    Eric

I believe that is a mojo duck or mojo mallard. If the wings are made of metal and screw on with something almost like a set screw then that would be my guess.

Is that metal rod coming from the back of the decoy where it mounts to the pole? If it is then it is not a Mojo. every Mojo I’ve seen attaches to the pole by a square plastic tab coming out from the duck’s belly in front of the feet.

Have you looked inside the body near the battery or on the motor for a label?

It looks to me like one that Flambeau used to manufacture called a sky scraper. Take a micrometer and measure the shaft holes–i have a brand new set of corrugated wings off of a baby mojo that you can have if they work.

After a second look I think Waterfowler has it. The Skyscraper. Lenny is correct on the mounting bracket on the mojo. I did not see that in the picture before.

I don’t think it is a skyscraper either. They mount with a metal plate that goes across the feet.

    Thanks for all the replies.

To answer as many of the questions as I can remember:
It does not have metal wings, wings are of material like foam board and are corrugated. It does not require a set screw. The wings have a screw end protruding that is threaded and screw into the metal you see sticking out of the decoy, counter to each other. You must spin them both at the same time otherwise while tightening one you are loosening the other.

The metal under the duck is the mounting rod for mounting to the pole.

I have checked inside, the battery does not give me clues, nor the battery charger. Would pictures of the inside battery help anyone?

From the picture of the skyscraper, I believe that is it! Thanks for the help!

Waterfowler: Did you say you had an extra set of wings for this model?

The wings came today and it is NOT a skyscraper. If anyone needs wings for a skyscraper, I may have a pair. I’ll first ask Flambeau if they want them back. Otherwise, I can get them to you.

Whatsa believes this is actually a “Perfect Deception Decoy” made by Lytle Manufacturing, now out of business. I am in contact tonight with the Pin Feathers company to see if there magnetic wings will work!

Here’s some email addresses at Flambeau:
