Burlapping decoys

    I was bored this morning and decided to burlap a few decoys. Here are some pics. Notice the gf allows me to do my work in the living room which is nice because it is hotter than heck outside today.

    That is interesting. I look forward to seeing the final results and, if you would, hearing more about how you did it, how difficult/easy it is, etc.

    It really isn’t that hard to do. I just went to home depot and bought acryl pro. It is an adhesive for tile and is what is recommended. Next either find some or buy some burlap. Outline the decoy on the burlap then cut out your patterns. Next cover the decoy with acryl pro then but the bottom piece of burlap on working out all the bubbles. After the bottom piece put the top piece on. Really pretty easy after the first one. I had a buddy show me how to do it so it worked quite well. I will try to get some pics while I am doing it next time.

    It makes the very strong and they last longer. They are herters model 63 foam decoys. Actually look in the cabelas magazine herters actually sells burlapped decoys as well.
