Rochester Goose refuge expanding ???

    Public meeting at People co-op Hwy 14 east. Tues. May 1st 7p -9p Post Bulletin said DNR is looking to move the refuge to the east. Hope none of you hunt Geese in this area that maybe affected.

    Not to ask a really silly question here…..but why would they eliminate hunting grounds for geese??

    I wouldn’t say they are a problem but many would argue that because the population has grown so much in the last 10 years.

    I would think they would want to open more land up to hunting making it easier to harvest some birds….not make it tougher.

    Well that’s Minnesota and the DNR for ya. People Complain about all the geese and now the DNR may move the refuge out farther to keep all the geese around longer. Can you say Dysfunctional???
