Shaking eggs in Rochester

Personally I don’t see what the big deal is. When the peak is at Silver Lake it is usually around december. I haven’t seen too many people running, walking and having picnics at this time. When the birds start migrating north there are a lot of birds around but look around now, I have been cruising around for work but I still don’t think that there is even 300 nesting pairs that spend the summer here. Also, look at what the smart developers are doing around town, there are more pits and little ponds around that are perfect for nesting even MORE geese. It seems like every on/off ramp has a pond by it, I suppose the people cryin’ out will complain about mosquitos as well, but they will continue to make more habitat for both species, as that whole Cascade Lake project will make that lake even bigger than Silver Lake. People need to lear to take in the good with what they percieve as the bad!

I’m with you Lars. Those lovely drainage ponds, mosquiro pits, goose ponds, are what are required for drainage for each building site. The size of them is typically regulated by the state DNR.

ok maybe i was wrong about inhumane but it is wrong i have been down to feed the geese a couple times in the past week and there can’t be more that 150 birs around there i think they just need to relocate all the birds out to lake shady or one of the surrounding resivours witch would be better than killing the eggs

    What?
Do you just post an add for a new “avian escape” resort out on Lake Shady and hope that it is appealing to the gander?
Maybe a happy hour with half price wild rice appetizers to familiarize them with the area.
    Good Luck
    cheers
