The geese are thick right now in the Ramsey/Elk River/Otsego area. I see hundreds of birds in the air everytime I drive around. I am outside all day, and I can hear them blasting away. The stupid city of Ramsey essentially banned waterfowl hunting, otherwise I would be out slaying them. A few years ago we had access to a couple small fields, and those birds never stood a chance. Now the fields are parks, houses, and the new City Hall. Anyway, I watched some guys drop a few birds over in Elk River today. I saw some geese flying over a field, a glare off a barrel on the ground below them, and the birds were history. I can’t believe the birds didn’t flare because I could see that barrel from 400 yds. away. Please go out and shoot some, so I don’t have to walk all over goose crap in the park next summer.

So I’m not the only one that observed all those geese flying over Elk River….normally I wouldn’t have noticed, but it was hard not to, there were thousands of them! All seem to be flying to the East for some reason. (fields?) I kept waiting for them to “bomb” my truck while I was waiting at the light. (Always waiting at a light in Elk River!)
