Duck mounting, part 2

    Ok, things are a bit crazy here! This morning, I got my first Bull Can. Years ago, I said I’d mount the first one I got… I don’t hunt divers, so this was unique.

    After consulting w/ 3 objective people, I’ve learned that the one I shot is indeed worthy of mounting. I’ve already selected a taxidermist (Corcoran out of Hampton) who was recommended by 4 Seasons in Red Wing. I saw their work, and it looks nice; and the price is right (220).

    Now I’d like to get input on Can mounts. Don’t know a thing about them. I saw a couple of flying mounts, but if you know of something unique, I’d like to see it.

    if you are talking about the guy with all of the duck mounts in the store, i dunno about that guy. his wings arent right on any of the birds and i dont think he is worth 220. the black duck in there has a black bill! if you are happy with it tho that is all that matters. i was just in that yesterday buying lead weights for my decoys. i have always wanted to try a diving mount on the divers. they look sweet! basically it is a mount of a duck swimming underwater. ill look for one and try to post it
