Check out the link below. It looks like there sure were a lot of people aiming for the geese around Rochester this past weekend. I can’t say enough good things about Todd Fanning from Westline Guide Service who put this together along with a bunch of other volunteers. Both Ryan and I are just very thankful to have had this opportunity and it is something that we will always remember!

on a side note i would also like to say thanks to jrrendler for getting involved in hunting through his child he, to the best of my knowledge had never hunted before or owned a gun for that matter, correct me if i am wrong john. last spring he purchased a gun from me because his son had expressed an interest in hunting. well needless to say john has kept me up to date on his sons year via email and i know he has taken multiple geese, and a sweet 9 point buck—way to go john i think you have started a family tradition/bond w/ your son that will never leave your memory, or his——–tim

Tim—you are right on the money with that. It has been a heck of a fall season and we are both learning a lot. Events like this and several others have been a big help as well as info I from this site.

As a side note, closely check the picture of him. He was not using your 20 gauge….we have that set up with your scope so he took my 12 gauge. I picked it up at auction about a month ago. I don’t think it is a classic waterfowl gun. It only has a 20″ barrell but it is a lot of fun to shoot and apparently it works just fine!

Thanks for the positive words Tim!

I read the story in the PB too. This is definately worth repeating:

    Quote:

To John, I tip my hat.

On another side note I thought something was wrong with the photo when I saw the length of that barrel! A 20″er on geese!
