Just got back from the Jamestown-Cleveland area in North Dakota where we had ducks and geese falling from the sky. The new ducks are in with lite freezing of the ponds going on somedays. Field hunting was excellent as well. The water levels are lower but still holding plenty of ducks. We also had pheasant license for upland birds and were surprised by the number of rooster chickens (pheasants for some of you). If you get a chance stop in at the Decoy bar in Medina. The waitress is sassy and the drinks cheap. 3 Crown and 7’s and 2 bottles of your favorite brew for about 8 bucks. Also my favorite, 14 oz. rib eye with all the fixings for 13 bucks. Hunting this year was very good. If you can get that way over the next couple of weeks it should be even better. I was with fellow IDA’er Ooh Miracle and 3 other good friends. If you haven’t ever done this before and want to give it a try on your own give me a pm or call and I’ll give you some pointers. p.s. The best duck recipe is to wrap it in bacon and when the bacon is done remove duck and eat bacon. Just Joking. Thanks waterfowler99 for postin pics.
