Rochester Goose Hunting 10-24-06

    What a awesome morning. Started out cool with little to no wind. Temps around 25 with cloud cover. The first flock showed up at around 8:10. By 8:50 we were done with 24 on the ground. The first flock there were 9 that came right into the pocket perfectly. 8 out of 9 dropped. Next was a couple of pairs and singles.Then another flock of around 8 with 5 getting wacked!! The last flock came in and we needed 3 and 3 fell!! A limit!!!!

    The birds have been very cooperative lately in certain areas. Some birds have been pressured and are hard to decoy. Switching fields and locations have been the key.

    You better do that for us when we get down there Tim!My son is going to get a kick out of watching those Jumbo’s come sailing in!!!! He’s never been hunting like that before.

    I will do my best! I will have pictures up soon. I am off to Missouri on Thursday for the opener so I will give a report when I get back.
