Yep…..The secret spot worked out well!!!……4 man limit of mallards, gaddies, pintails, greenwing teal, and even a random redhead thrown in the bunch . Lots of birds flying pretty much all day.

Even a little bonus greenhead *Bling Bling* for my buddy…..Sweet

This year has just been awesome so far……the extra time scouting has really been paying off on every hunt!!!

it’s off to North Dakota on Tuesday….although I’m not sure why? Oh yeah, BIG curly tailed greenheads in the feilds……pumped up

Those guys on the upper end of the firing line did nothing but shoot until late into the morning. From my house, it sounded like and incredible morning to be out. However, from what I could hear, the lower end of the firing line was awfully quiet.

Saturday was great. Got a three man limit, could have had 3 more. Just a great amount of mallards. Didn’t get out this morning, went fishing instead (which sucked), but my buds got 14 this morning. Many less mallards though, but a ton of gads and a few widgeon.

Hey Moss…..I thought you guys only shot woodducks? …..

Just kidding……it’s good to hear you got into em too …..by the sounds of it, if you weren’t able to shoot ducks on the river this weekend, you just aren’t gonna shoot ducks

Only opening weekend. I hate woodies. Hard to hit, and hard to skin. Pretty though.

I haven’t talked to anyone yet who didn’t do well on Saturday on the river around La Crosse.

By the way, I heard the firing line blinds were full by 6:00 pm on Friday. Zoo is an understatement.

Maybe the DNR and Fish & Wildlife Dept. should step in and regulate that area….
