O.K. I am finally planning on going out tomorrow morning. How much wind is too much? I know some wind is fantastic, but when do birds start holding tight? Thanks in advance for your input.

October 6, 2006 at 9:01 pm #22088I’m ok with it blowing later in the year. It’s these SW/SE winds that don’nt do us alot of good. Atleast the NW winds bring new birds.

October 9, 2006 at 1:24 pm #22128The wind was tough for hunting on Saturday. It seemed like I could hardly get the Stealth moving against the wind. Should’ve charged my batteries a bit longer.
Sunday was a good shoot in the wind though.

October 9, 2006 at 9:33 pm #22179In that picture I was picking up decoys. There were probably only 1 1/2 dozen of super magnums in the boat at that time. If it is just myself and my dog, I can pack probably 3 dozen magnums and 2 or 3 geese. That day I had Lars_MSU walk in from and access with my dog and I brought out 4 1/2 dozen dekes and 6 goose floater. These scenarios are considering a very full boat. It is a great boat for one guy and a dog. I think it weighs around 150lbs or so. I have a 28 lb thrust Minnkota on the boat. It pushes it around 4-5 mph or so.
The boat usually rides level with me in it (270lbs of lovin), but the back dry storage filled with water because I didn’t close it right. They are worth the money for the boats.

October 9, 2006 at 10:08 pm #22183You don’t live too far from the factory. Maybe you can get a “locals” deal.
