Theft opening weekend

    This past weekend I was hunting Brice Prairie with my brother in-law and 4 others who camped in the swamp. Sometime saturday night we had $1,200 worth of equipment stolen 30 yards away from our tent. 3 Mojo mallards, 10 calls, 2 cassess worth of steel shot, ammo boxes and $100 in cash. People who stole our stuff were kind enough to leave a beer bottle.

    I live near this area and fish and hunt out thier frquentlly – THIS SUCKS

    We still have one of the mojo remotes, which is programed for all the mojos – Hope the thieves are dumb enough to keep hunting out thier. Also, one of the mojo’s has a flocked head – We will be on the look out.

    Just goes to show that you are never safe and you can not trust anyone.

    That really sucks. What area are you from so we can all be on the look out for a flocked head mojo? I don’t think these would be very common and maybe we could help you out. Not advocating marshal law here, but we could probably inquire a little bit.

    I know someone who got their Stealth duck boat and decoys stolen this summer. I would rather someone steal my truck than my hunting equipment.

    Where is Brice Prairie at? Are there pawn shops around there? Spread the word and hopefully you can recover or catch them!

    Yep, just north of La Crosse.

    where on 7 exactly were you at? i was out as well and hunt it a ton. i will keep my eyes/ears open for you. i hope i come across them you wont have to report it. please let us all know what type of calls, shells brand size and shot and any thing else that may help us spot anything that was yours. i will pass along this info to all my friends i know exactly how crappy you feel, all my rods were stolen out of my garage in west salem not to long ago i hope you recover your items—-tim

For those of you who are familiar with that area, we were hunting out of the brice prairie landing, when you reach the shelter on the main slogh out there we went right away from the shooting line through a couple of cuts. Not many flocked mojo’s out there and we will also be on the look out. Any info may help – thanks in advance.

    Yes, keep an eye out, I had some stuff stolen out of my back yard on Brice Prairie this summer also. Some boating equipment. Not real happy and if I ever find out who did it don’t care how big, small, old or young they are.
