    What are people seeing for deals on high velocity steel and performance shots?
    This close to the opener, somebody has to be running a special

    Haven’t seen much as of yet. Winchester usually runs a Mail in Rebate this time of year. 5 days!

    scheels had a flier that had winchester 3in hv 6.99 a box!! they were all out tho when i went to stock up

    i just had gander mtn. do a price match with the scheels price for the winchester xpert loads. 6.99 is a good price and a just got two cases.

    Do they have a special on the supremes?
    I especially need high velocity supremes or nitro mags and heavy-shot, all in 12 ga – 3-1/2″

    Well I discovered (I’m slow) that Remington will no longer be packaging Heavy-Shot as of December 2005. The remaining inventory is it. I have not yet determined which of the other varieties are comparable to the now extinct stuff
    I am, for the first time, going to try some of the Kent Faststeel, 1645 fps
    I only bought enough to get the season started. Waiting for the prices to start moving.
    Kent Faststeel in 12ga, 3-1/2″, 1-1/4 oz, #2 was $15.99
    Winchester Supreme HV in 10ga, 3-1/2″, 1-3/8 oz BB was $22.99
    Man, I sure wish I would not have forgotten to stock-up during the clearance sales last winter
