OK it’s time for another coat of paint on the duck boats. Does any one out there have a paint of preference? I’m not looking to spend a ton of $$$ this year. Because I will be have at least one of the two powder coated next year.

I have 2 boats. One 17 ft alumicraft canoe and a 12ft john boat. Just in case that will matter to anyone.

I just used the HS Camo paint to paint my duck boat a few years ago. It probably isn’t the greatest paint but the price was right. We used a paint sprayer to put it on. It was a pretty quick and easy job!! They sell aerosol cans too that could be used to touch up a scratch or ding.

Where do you get your boat powder coated at. I never thought about doing that. The powder coat would stay on alot better than the regular paint and wouldn’t scratch or wear off as easily.

    Good luck this fall.

I wonder how expensive it would be to have someone put that rhino lining on the inside and outside of the boat. I would think it would never wear off then. I am sure it’s spendy.

Use Parker boat paint. The only way to go!

I have always used HS camo its cheap and there are a few different colors to choose from. Fleet Farm usually has some in stock.

My uncle owns a body shop and has a contact that will powder coat the boat. He had our river boat done a couple years ago and it looks great and seems to be bullet proof.

Not sure what it cost because he worked a trade out. I figure that I will have my canoe done because that is a boat I will keep for a while. It should pay for its self over time.

I’m not sure about the Rino coat. I think it may get a little heavy. And with two grown men, Dog, and far too many deke’s that may not be a good Idea. At least from the boats I hunt out of.
