I just got back from NW Missouri Sunday night. There are around 500,000 Snow’s on Squaw Creek right know and there are reports of over 1,000,000 still south of there.
Joining me on the hunt was Andy Loos and Jim Brown from Riverangling Outdoors. We filmed for a upcoming show. We got plenty of footage also. Man are there geese down there. I have never seen anything like it!
We started out Thursday and 3 fields shot 107 Snows. Friday 3 fields shot 103. Saturday we had a slower day with rain and very cloudy. Shot mid 70’s on Saturday. Sunday was a blast. 109 total for the day. The birds were working great and what a blast. I shot 2 boxes of shells in 15 minuets. Soar shoulder! They staill are wacken them. There is some poor weather moving in. When we left on Sunday, the birds were puoring into the refuge by the thousands. It actually looked like maggots on a gut pile!!! The hunting in NW Missouri should be good for the next couple of weeks. Then it’s off to SD!!
We were hunting with my good friends with Top Gun Guide Service. Visit them at http://www.topgunguideservice.com.
Maybe I’ll see you there Jake!!
