Some of the guys from Top Gun Guide Service made it to NW Missouri on Wednesday. The report is that there are more Snow geese than ever down there right now. I just talked to the guys down in Missouri. They said there is around 150,000 snow’s down there right know. They are going to start hunting them on Wednesday. I will have a hunting report soon.

my report is that there is not 150000 birds but rather more like maybe 50000 and not many juvies
birds did not decoy well and we were in a prime field with 1000 northwinds and the best ecaller on the market, result was 33 birds for two days hunting, 3 shots under 50 yar

I just checked the Missouri Snow Goose count from Feb 15th. 140,000 on Squaw Creek and 5000 in Bob Brown. I will try to find out tonight on how they are doing. I know that last Thursday, 2-16, they shot 60 out of one field.

That count is 5 days old now, before the cold this weekend…..a lot of things can change in 5 days durning the spring migration.
I would imagine that number dropped off quite a bit since Thursday……but it looks like warming temps from here on out!!!!
I’d expect the geese to start making huge pushes North over the next 5-10 days!!!! 
The RWB should be over flowing by the 1st of March!!!
We’re still holding on to hope that there will be geese up into South Dakota by the first weekend in March…..at least enough to do a little jump shootin……then I’m out there for 7 straight days starting the 13th!!!! Hopin to get in on a few good hunts over my buddies dekes

I talked with the guys in Missouri last night. Late last week it did get very cold down there and Squaw Creek refuge froze up and the birds went south. They said the birds are starting to come back. The weather is warming fast and the refuge should be open soon. I will check back with them later in the week and see how things are going.

Internet report is 30K as of yesterday, but i talked to a buddy of mine that is a guide down there a he said they picked up a bunch of birds today, but decoying was still tough, it doesnt suprise me as this is the start of the migration, better days to come, i predict 150K by next week

Just in time for me to get down there next Friday and wack’em. I hope. We are going to try and video the hunt I am going on. I’ll check with the guys this weekend and let everybody know what is happening. The weather is supposed to be in the mid 40’s to lower 50’s. The birds should be rolling in soon.

Wednesday was a good day. The guys said the birds are rolling into Squaw Creek and they shot over 50. Thursday the birds continued to roll in and they shot 27. I will check with them this weekend and let everyone know on Monday!

I just talked to the guys in Missouri. The Snows are still rolling into Squaw Creek area. They shot 93 on Friday and 58 on Sunday. So far they have shot just shy of 600 birds.Weather is supposed to be good this week and I am heading down Thursday afternoon. I will try to report on Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Got back from west-central Mizz. on sunday and we took home 175 birds for a few days “work” 
, though we didn’t see the push we thought we’d see there were still birds to be had. We didn’t see the mile long flocks or the 2,000+ bird tornados that we are accustomed to, still, most of our shots were at or under 40 yards, and we did have birds land in our spread. We shot real mature birds but not that many ross’, made us wonder if Arkansas is still full of birds. All-in-all another great trip and am wondering where this weekend will take me.
