Bands Bands Bands!!!

    Went out on Friday afternoon for some cold weather honker hunting. We needed 3 birds to fill our limit. We had a flock of about 8 come in and we bagged the 3 we needed and all 3 were banded!!! The band gods have been good to us this year. They have blessed us with a total of 6 for the year!

    heck…..so far we’ve killed a couple hundred geese in Wisconnie and i havent seen a band killed yet this year!!!!!

    are the numbers consecutive???? or are they different??

    The 3 numbers are about 30 apart. Definately banded at the same time / location and still flying together. When they left the field there were still 5 birds together. Where they banded??? One will never know…

    GREAT JOB!THATS AWESOME!!! I KILLED 1 BAND THIS OCT NEAR WEST SALEM AND IT WAS BANDED NEAR BLACK RIVER JULY OF 03. I’LL BE LEAVING TO WHACK THEM IN ILLINOIS IN ABOUT 5-10DAYS….CANT WAIT.

    About 8 years ago,we shot 7 birds out of a flock and 4 were banded! All the numbers were within 29 numbers of each other.
