This weekend was alittle tougher goose hunting than hoped.We still ended up shooting around 90 birds but had to work for them.The weather has gotten very cold and froze-up alot of water around the area.Silver Lake is almost froze-up but they are supposed to fire up the steam power plant this week and that should open it back up.There are still plenty of geese sitting on the Zumbro river though.We ended up shooting 68 geese on Saturday and mid 20’s on Sunday.Hope for warmer weather for the late season and thing should be booming again.With the colder temps,we will be getting in the rest of the migrators from up north very soon.The Twin Cities is freezing up fast and they should be making there way to us soon.Good Hunting!
