    The small northern geese have invaded central SD, however, they probably won’t be there much longer with the recent storm. My buddies who hunted north of Pierre last week saw lots of geese, but they had blue bird days. Not much to show for it. The snows had all moved out before the weekend.

    Too bad the duck season is closing today .They are shooting limits of mallards today!!!The ducks are everywhere!!!!

    Drake, This is why you plan your family around hunting season and fishing opener!

    Can’t say that this weekend sucked for me. The river has been full for the past 2 weeks. OOPS. did I say that?

    Valentine’s day is February 14th and an annual “couples” Ducks Unlimited banquet is the first Friday in March .
    I do not actually know which one to blame, but the math would not be difficult!
    FYI it’s official, the boat/blind went into storage yesterday !

    With this cold weather and everything icing up FAST, I was afraid I might be done duck huntin for the year……but I just got word from the marsh……BIRDS EVERYWHERE!!!!

    If you’ve got a WI liscense you’re still good to go through the weekend (in the Southern Zone)……..so find some open water and HUNT!!!!

    You guys can keep your dang geese…..I’m pumped up for one (or two ) more chances at DUCKS
