From what I’ve heard you need to talk to every city, town, or township all the way down and that you can hunt on one side in some areas and not in others. A real pain to figure it out, I guess. It pays to talk to the sheriffs’ offices in the various areas, I’m told, but that it changes year-to-year. Good luck!

I am going up north for the weekend to hopefully complete my deer hunt on opening day and then hit leach for some diver action.
Pool 2 interests me, but having grown up in the area it is hard to beleive that much is open in the area these days.drakesdemiseResiding in St. Paul, MN doing weekly travel throughout the five state Upper MidwestPosts: 976November 4, 2005 at 3:13 pm #394322I will research this further next week.

Not necessarily true. Spring Lake is a Pool 2 backwater that is a haven for late season mallards and other ducks. No premission needed. Not sure how far up you can go without having to get permission. I have seen people hunting around Shiely’s gravel works in Newport or Inver Grove, or wherever it is!
