spent part of the day yesterday scouting and was actually surprized to find some more ducks. took a buddy of mine this morning, and we shot 11. not bad. had two pairs of woodies come in and shot 3, if we woulda got that 4th we coulda had a full limit. ended up with 6 drakes 2 hens and 3 woodies. very foggy, and it was extremly hard to pick out drakes and hens. waited for close shots but we still made 2 mistakes. great hunt overall, and was done around 9. very cool to see them ducks appear out of thin air litterally and fully cupped to the dekes.

I shot a hen last Saturday. On purpose. Send me my ticket to hell right now.

Nice hunt. Do you think there is new mallards moving in, or just finding the new hiding spots for the old ducks?

I am amazed at how many woodies are still around. This has been my best year ever for woodies.

You must have a pretty good honey hole. Seems like every day you’re posting a big bunch ‘o’ greenheads.

actually, we all do a lot of scouting, and dont hunt the same ponds very often. you need to be where the birds are, not where you want them to think they will be. i didnt even hunt yesterday, i spent alot of the day scouting. ide easily trade 2 or 3, 2 or 3 duck mornings, for a hunt like we had today
