Its kinda short notice but MN duck opener is this Saturday. The regs are as follows:

hen), 2 wood ducks, 2 redheads, 2 scaup, 1 black duck, 1 pintail. One canvasback may be taken during open
season (see below) for that species. If not listed up to 4 ducks of a species may be taken. The possession limit is
    twice the daily bag limit.
Coot and moorhen (gallinule) bag limits: Daily bag limit is 15. The possession limit is twice the daily bag limit.
Merganser bag limits: Daily bag limit is five, no more than one of which may be a hooded merganser. The
possession limit is twice the daily bag limit.”

    The times are:
    “Shooting hours for ducks and
    geese are one-half hour before
    sunrise (except 9 a.m. on Oct.1)
    to 4 p.m. through Oct. 8, and
    until sunset thereafter.”

    Season dates:
“DUCKS* COOTS, MERGANSERS, MOORHENS (GALLINULES) Oct.1 – Nov. 29

I’m not sure if I understand your question but here goes anyway.
If the type of duck is not specifically mentioned above than you are allowed to fill your limit with that duck.

Actually 4 here in MN, and what about ringbills, bufflehead, and golden eyes. Can fill the limit with those also.
