Looking for fellow duck hunters in La Crosse area. I have my own dekes, duck boat with go-devil, gun, and finally a dog. He is just a pup this year but should be ready next year. Looking for fellow duck hunters who may not have boat but would like to get out. Military members get priority. current or former. I hunt between goose island and Stoddard mostly but plan on heading down to hunt some below the lansing dike a few times this year.

I’m a duckin’ freak, although I’m not in Lacrosse. I am willing to make the trip, though, if you’ve got some good spots! I’ve also got a lot of dekes, both ducks and geese. Prior military, too.

You can count me in. I just started ducking last year and loved it. I am still at the mercy of going with my co-workers who have the boat. I have a dozen dekes, but they have not seen the water yet I am not and have not been in the military due to my permanent hearing loss.

mwchiefs: How is the duck hunting up there in Redwing? I am from Winona and the farthest I have made it up the river to hunt is Wabasha. Weaver Bottoms should be good this year or at least I hope.

MW…The spots I use have been good for past few years (except last season)…but are on the WI side…you would need a WI license. AMwatson…not being military is no big deal…I just choose to give them a break with first dibs as I have “been there done that.” You are still welcome to go with me. I have never hunted brice prairie/lake onalaska have you? If so, maybe we can “swap” some spots. Of course your welcome to join me for both trips.

adloos, it’s like most places, great some years, okay the others. Lots of backwater areas to hit, though. I’m all for trying Weaver this year. Been meaning to the past couple, just always changed my mind when I wake up! Fishahollik, I usually end up buying a WI license anyway, so that’s not a problem.
