Like Jake stated, getting permission is almost a given. Finding the land owner on the other hand has a tendency to be a challenge.

We actually got some great video footage too. Beside from the many large flocks tornadoing down from the heavens…..We also got Neil’s little swim on video (so we can show it too his kids some day )…….and made our first attempt to produce a successfull “Cow Cam” . Two guys carried the cow and I walked behind them with the video camera…….although we only got within about 100yds before the geese boogied to the other side of the field, it was still pretty good
Wish we could have tried it a few more times……I really wanted to get that money shot from behind the guys droppin the board and openin up a can on a bunch…….but the last few days were just too ridiculously windy

MelonPosts: 6April 5, 2005 at 9:59 pm #6201I see a sign for Chef Louis in the Motel picture… great steaks and even better martini’s. The Motel must be close by, is it? I pass through that area often and am always looking for a cheap($$)place to stay.

Not sure about the Chef Louis thing……we mainly ate gas station food while we were out there.
but the hotel is in Mitchell, off the first exit and back off the interstate aways……I guess I can’t give ya any better directions then that

April 6, 2005 at 5:24 pm #6203I wonder if it is the place I’m thinking of Jake? Was there a giant of an italian running the place? He has two motels at that intersection. The nice girls from the “northern Holidy Inn” stayed there when in town. I lived in the place for about a month my first year of college. Did you guys visit Kongo Club?? Be honest!!
