    My 2 shotguns I own are a 870 and an M1.

The 870 never got out of the closet this fall.

Dependable, but not nearly as nice to use.

Sold my 870 this fall. Never shot a Wingmaster, but some old river rats I used to hunt with swear by them. They poke fun of those Spaghetti guns. he he.

Still making a decision, now another gun is got my eye….
Can get a 3.5″ SX2 for same price as M1.

beyond obvious differences in guns, which needs no elaboration, which route would you go?

I traded a Browning Gold (same as the Winchester) on an M1, so you can guess what I would do.

BUT, handle both and see which fits you better and which “feels” better. I think that is more important than anything else. Both will be plenty reliable, I had to clean my Browning more I guess, but it shot softer.

I don’t think you need 3.5 these days, especially for ducks. Maybe for geese, but with Hevi-Shot and the like out now, 3 inch is plenty for them too.

I would get the Benelli or the Winchester, whichever fits you better.

Well, picked up the SX2 last week. Looks like a great gun.
