Blue Lake in La Crescent had a lot of new birds on it yesterday. I didn’t hear much shooting from either side of the river, it looks as though there are some ducks passing through.

Everyone I talked to that hunted this weekend said the same thing….SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW .

Apparently the swamps were full of hunters, but the sky was once again void of birds.

I guess I made the right descion to skip the weekend chaos and hit the pheasant slough (although that didn’t go so hot either )

We’ll just have to giver another week or two

Pool 7 has lots of birds on it right now. Dresbach island had a big flock of geese on it and multiple small flocks of ducks. The shooting the last few days has picked up as a result.
