    I love breakin ice for ducks!!!

    It’s just too bad that the MN season is gonna close 2 weeks before we see any ice AGAIN this year

    I guess it depends on where you hunt.
    I hunt about an hour northwest of Bemidji and it’s been freezing up the first or second week in November for us the last couple of years.

    We were hunting a wheat field in the center of North Dakota last Saturday and there was a marshy area right by where we hunted and there was already a pretty solid sheet of ice on it about a 1/16 to 1/8 inch thick. It was a cold morning in the blinds and its only the begining of October. Luckily this week it has been in the 70’s.
