We were hunting a wheat field in the center of North Dakota last Saturday and there was a marshy area right by where we hunted and there was already a pretty solid sheet of ice on it about a 1/16 to 1/8 inch thick. It was a cold morning in the blinds and its only the begining of October. Luckily this week it has been in the 70’s.
