This past weekend seamed to be kind of poor compared to the last few years. We were hunting in the Albany area both days. Saturday we ended up with only a few birds. Sunday morning proved to be slightly better with 7 ducks and 2 geese for the 2 of us. The shooting in the area was good between 7:00-8:00 and tapered off quickly after that. Woodducks and a few Mallards appeared to be the main ducks in the area.
Did anyone else have good success in the central MN area?

Scott, thanks for the report. We have youth season this week-end so hope the boys can get a little shooting in.
You ever take that brother of yours hunting or does he fish the fall away?

No actually he gave up hunting years ago and just spends time in the boat fishing. After all the lakes freeze up solid he heads to the river where ever he can get the boat in the water.
I like to spend some time in the fall Pheasant and duck hunting in between fishing. Looking to pick up the fishing sticks again this weekend.
Good luck this weekend hunting. What area will you be hunting?
