LOL, I’ll work on my head shot for next season.

Imp. Cyl. I think, blew the bill and both eyes out, but it wasn’t totally hamburgered.

If you knock em all dead on arrival when they hit ground, I guess you are a better shot than anyone I’ve ever hunted with. Don’t think I’ll ever get to that level. Sometimes they just take alot of pellets and still can stay alive for a while.

PS< I was just kidding on the picture, I wasn’t doubting that you actually did it.

    Moss,

I know you were b.s. with me, it is all in fun. If you can give it, you have to be able to recieve it right???

How come your waiting until next season to bust out the head shots??? This season has only started, still plenty of time to dial in the sights. I guess if you ever need a good shot, call me up and I suppose I can hunt with ya for a couple hours and show you the ropes.

    Shootem’ in the lips!!!!

I like to blow both wings off and let the dog have some fun too!!

Actually, I’ve been shooting pretty well this year with the new Benelli. Except for that nice drake woodie I jumped and missed 3 times.

True, cann’t have all the fun yourself.

If you read my goals I set this year. I put don’t miss a duck all season, well that lasted all of a couple days. Was fine on Sat., but Sunday 1st thing in the morning I had a nice mallard drake come in and then fly back out. 20 yard shot and missed it all 3 times….boy was I a little upset.
I know it had a band around it’s leg as well…

BM, probably got blinded my the shine of the band on it’s leg. I shot a nice drake mallard, and lost it in the thick cattails. Had 3 dogs in there looking (nothing usually gets by them (they brought back a stiff teal earlier)). Anyways, I know it was banded and the extra weight from the band helped him burry himself into the mud. I don’t usually blow the heads off of any ducks, but I sure don’t have any trouble killing them. Personally I’d rather see the POOF of feathers slowly fall to the ground. Lets me enjoy my kill a little longer. I use speed as my weapon, reloads 1750fps, that’s the ticket!

DK: that might of been the problem. I knew there was a reason I missed, I just hadn’t come up with it yet. Now that I think about it; it was sunny, clear blue skies and that would make for direct sunlight with the band and blinding of my eyes. That’s it!!! Got blinded!!!
Guess that means that my goals are still good then right??

You reloading 3″ or 2 3/4″??? I have a reciept that is pretty similar to that, but I strickly reload 3″ BB’s. Guess that might have to do a lot with blowing the heads off as well.

One question for ya DK. Would you rather watch feathers softly float down to the mud or eyes, bill, brains, skull, blood and a head get scattered across the mud? Guess that is a choice you will have to make.
