Some of the guys from the La Crosse area have been doing very well. My Dad and I have been seeing quite a few ducks and geese all over pool 7. It’s been years since I’ve bought a duck stamp, but it is shaping up to be a banner year. So far……

My buddy and another guy went to that field I was talking about in the other thread on tuesday morning……they had their 10 geese and were picking up by 7:30!!! He said if I would have been there we woulda had 15 no problem . So at least there are gonna be a few geese around.

The ducks however are a different story. I have NOT been seeing very many ducks around this year. A few local mallards are hangin around the grain bins, but hardly any out in the actual swamp. I’m not worried about opener much, cause there will always be woodies zippin around, and I have a feeling more teal will move in by then . It’s those 3-4 weeks between opener and the time reinforcments arrive that could be ugly
